#8 Photo Challenge

This is assignment ten  we were supposed to create a Flickr account on this homework and create a blog posting before  on 11/24/2014. I uploaded fifteen photos and they are all random. I picked them because I thought they were the most memorable to me and they actually go with this blog. I never actually used Flickr before but I have come across it. I use photo editors and such like Photofunia, Be Funky, and Picasa. I sort of had to go back on the account to add a Geo tag because I was not use to uploading photos online and tagging them where you have taken the photo. I had to edit some of the photos going back to my Photo stream to add more descriptions and titles to each photo. Hopefully, you enjoy the slideshow of the photos that are in my Flickr account. Here is the Link to my Flickr:

#7 Photo Challenge

Light is very crucial in taking photos. You have to understand what the effects of using the natural light in the day or not using flash during the day. Even inside the house it can get a little tricky of how the light can be manipulated. I will show you some photos I took in house who has a lot of big windows that comes through the house. It made my pictures dark but still very elegant to look at because of the shadows and highlights that it creates through out the photo.

This is a very good example of creating a silhouette of the object your taking a photo of. This is Greysie by the way, my boyfriend's cat. I did not use any flash from the camera I was using and that is the reason why it turn out this way.

I did not use any flash here either just used natural light coming out from the windows.

#6 Photo Challenge

The first thing we all have concerns of when were taking photos it can get really frustrating because our hands and arms can get unstable. The very first thing you want to do is to reduce the stress on your arms and hands. It can be done just by relaxing  and finding a position  that is comfortable for you. There are times there are nearby objects that you can rest your arms on so that taking pictures is easier. This is not exactly a still photo but a graphic interchange format (gif) that I made with my iPhone 3gs and the app Kinotopic.

This was like a 3 second video and my hands were very unstable but I was actually sitting on the ground to take this shot and used my leg  to take the photo or video.

#5 Photo Challenge

I grew up living by the railroad in Las Vegas and I thought I share some photos of what it is like at the back of the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino. I wanted to make photos that were like old but still beautiful to look at. I had taken this photos with my iPhone.

The railroad at the back of the Stratosphere Tower without any filter.

The photo now looks like an old photo.
This photo was taken on the 6th floor parking garage of the Stratosphere.

I added filter to make it look like a vintage photo.
This is my cousin Crissy, she was my model for the day but this is the photo that wanted to share because of the shadows.

I added a filter to make the original photo ethereal  and splash color on her shorts , to make her shorts pop out.

#4 Photo Challenge- blast from the past

These pictures are also from the past and taken from my Kodak C190 which has the resolution of 12.40  megapixels and it has 18 scene modes for beginners to achieve what they want for their photos.

This is my nephew Carl he jumped off from the ledge where the pole was at and I took the shot on the right moment that it made look like he is levitating up in the air.

You guys are probably familiar with panorama views. Well I took this where I had my nephew be in different spots of the view and it made it look like he was in 3 places at the same time. VOILA!

#3 Photo Challenge

I wanted to share photos from the past that I have taken. I want to introduce some of the people that are special to me. Of course throughout this blog You will see more of the people that are in my life but I wanted to share some interesting photos that I had taken awhile back.

This was taken at San Francisco by the bridge. This is me and my brother looking out to see the magnificent city.
I could not find the original photo but I remember the app that I used to make it look like this. Those of you who likes to work with filters, you can try using befunky. It is a free photo editor but you can also buy it. Those of you are wondering how I took this photo, I had set a timer and place on top of a rock where it can take a photo of us looking out.

#2 Photo Challenge Continues...

I have some more pictures to share hopefully you can appreciate them like I do.
The first ones involved some movements but on these I had to stop because I had to catch my breath from the long walk. So these were just taken randomly I did not plan taking the sunset or knowing where the moon was going to be. It just happen that I was there in that moment.

I thought it was just the side walk I was taking a photograph of but in this photo I manage to get a shot of a jet plane's smoke trail and the moon.

The colors on the horizon was beautiful. This photo almost looks like a painting.
